Here are our girls dancing together at the end of our class today in Kilbarchan.
They are really getting the hang of it, don't you think?

Lochwinnoch Launch of Kiddies Ceilidh Club!

Off to a fine start at Lochwinnoch on a bright Spring day! 

We welcomed our dancers with a Gaelic Waltz - elimination style and today's winners were Fiona and Bonnie. Well done! 

It was a busy dance floor for this week's dances: The Gay Gordons and The Canadian Barn Dance with plenty of fancy footwork in evidence. 

By special request we had a repeat of the GG as it seems to be an all round favourite before our closing song, Auld Lang Syne. Then it was time for  tea, coffee and a chat.

Kiddies Ceilidh Club Launch, Kilbarchan

Today saw the launch of Kiddies Ceilidh Club, Kilbarchan! 

The hall was set for our first visitors at 9.30am at the Girl Guide Hall and we began the morning with a fun elimination dance. Baby Anabelle (6 months) and mum Rachel were the lucky winners! 

Then we were on to the Gay Gordons. After a walk through the steps, it was time to birl around the floor at a good pace.

Our second dance was The Canadian Barn Dance. All the dance partners enjoyed counting the beats, skipping and clapping. 

We'd all had an amazing workout by the end without even realising it! 

We look forward to welcoming you all next Wednesday, 25th April at 9.30am. 

If you can't wait till then, we'll see you tomorrow morning, at the McKillop Institute, Lochwinnoch.

The start of Kiddies Ceilidh Club classes is just one week away! 

We will be in Kilbarchan on Wednesday morning at 9:30 in the Girls Guide Hall and 

Lochwinnoch on Thursday at 9:30 in McKillop Hall.
